About living in Escondido
Description
I came to United States after a revolution in my home country, Iran. Before the revolution, my husband was working in the American embassy. The time after the revolution his life was dangerous so we had to leave the country. We left everything behind and came to New York. We had a very hard time with two teenage children. I started all over again. I had a very hard time. Years later, my daughter got married, my son-in-law moved to California, and they took me with them. We bought a house in Escondido. I started a new life in Escondido. I bought some things of memory with me. This picture is of some symbols of New Year’s in my home country. I have two grandsons. They were born in the United States. I try to show them culture and celebrate New Year’s every year in Escondido.
