Title

The person who is in my heart

Description

My home is where my memories are. For me these memories come alive when I see a train or hear a familiar “choo-choo.” I am transported to my happy childhood when I would travel every year with my family throughout the Mexican countryside. On these travels my sisters and I would improve our games during the long travel time. Sometimes we played around the stations. These travels helped my family become very close. On our trips the train stopped in many small towns. The Old Escondido Train station reminds me of these small towns we would visit. I am an immigrant from Mexico City and my family does not live close to me, but the Escondido train station remains me that I never feel far away from the people I love, my parents and sisters. My affection for trains comes from my father, who was an employee of a Mexican train company. He loved his job because it helped to support his family, and he gave me and my sisters the best example of how to live our lives. So the train station is inside of my heart. Every time I see the Escondido train station, it transports me back to family and I am home again.
